5 ski resorts to visit during Spring Break

The first week of March is the perfect time to play outside with the family! During Spring Break in Quebec, ski resorts offer a wide range of activities. Here are five suggestions to fully enjoy the school break.

1. A top notch break – Les Sommets St-Sauveur, Laurentians

Only a 45 minute drive from Montreal, les Sommets St-Sauveur offer loads of fun activities during Spring Break. You want to enjoy some maple taffy at the bottom of Avila or have your little ones try skiing for the first time? You will definitely find an activity that will make you enjoy the great outdoors.

Why not offer a dream week to your favorite freestyler? The freestyle camp is the perfect place for them to start or to improve their skills. Catering to young people of all levels, Camp Freestyle will help them learn and develop their snow park skills. And while your kids are busy learning new tricks in the snow park, you will be able to fully enjoy Les Sommets Saint-Sauveur’s snow-clad trails!

 

2. La Montagne en feu – Mont-Édouard, L’Anse St-Jean

Why not take some extra time and drive a few hours further up North to the beautiful Saguenay region? Not only does Mont-Édouard boast incredible snow conditions, it offers activities for everyone in the family during school break. The schedule for School Break at Mont-Édouard offers a great variety of activities.

Enjoy some marshmallows by the fire in the relaxation area while your little ones are having fun sliding. Family fondue dinners, morning yoga and evening parties, just to name a few, are on the agenda. Also, if you practice touring skiing, Mont-Édouard’s breathtaking backcountry is yours to discover and will not disappoint!

 

3. Spring Break – Bromont, Montagne d’expériences, Bromont

With its 7 summits, Bromont offers the widest night skiing terrain in America. A well-known destination in Quebec, Bromont doesn’t pause during Spring Break! A bunch of activities are scheduled from February 29 to March 7. Find the enormous inflatable igloo where your little ones will discover a world of games, contests, workshops and inflatable structures. Don’t miss the juggling workshop given by a team from Cirque du Soleil on March 6 from 11 am to 3 pm.

For the older kids, the après-ski concerts is a great way to end a full day on the slopes. An amazing line-up of artists will be performing during school break make sure to be there on Saturday, February 29 to see the 2Frères duo kick-off the festivities under the stars. Émile Bilodeau and Alaclair Ensemble will also be performing during the week. This will be a Spring Break to remember!

 

 

4. Spring Break in Mont Sutton – Mont Sutton, Sutton

Spring Break in Mont Sutton will offer full of activities for children and adults. Parents will be delighted to try the newest skis during demo days, while the little ones will enjoy a full day of activities! Family tours of the mountain will be offered from 9:30 am to 1 pm every day. The young ones can enjoy Spring Break camp and the parents will love the après-ski at Le Tucker bar with musical guests. There will be something to entertain the whole family!

 

5. Spring Break 2020 at Massif de Charlevoix – Le Massif de Charlevoix, Petite-Rivière-Saint-François

From February 29 to March 8, le Massif de Charlevoix will offer a whole bunch of activities to keep the young shredders busy! Their mini formula, like the Mini-backcountry which will allow kids to develop their backcountry skills, and Mini-snowpark which will teach them how to shred the snow park under the supervision of an expert will be sure to make them happy.

You little ones will also have the opportunity to visit a groomer, learn some first-aid skill and try their hand at luging in an obstacle course.
