Useful information
MALTODEXTRIN AND FRUCTOSE
Maltodextrin and fructose (ratio 2:1):
This drink has a very subtle, not very pronounced taste which is often sought by athletes who get tired of the sweet taste. Maltodextrin is an assembly of several carbohydrates resulting from the hydrolysis of wheat or corn starch. Maltodextrin oxidizes quickly and therefore is a quick source of energy for working muscles while fructose oxidizes more slowly since it must be converted into glucose in the liver before it can be used by the muscles.
The maltodextrin and fructose mixture for athletes:
Like maltodextrin and fructose use different intestinal transporters for their absorption. This mixture increases the carbohydrate absorption capacity and thus makes possible a higher carbohydrate ingestion per hour (up to 90g / h), which is beneficial for prolonged, intense exercise (eg more than 2.5h ).
HONEY SUGAR
This drink is distinguished by its fruity taste with a slight note of honey. Its basic ingredient, honey is a natural sugar that bees make from the nectar of flowers. This drink is a very interesting mixture of glucose and fructose to support sports performance. Glucose is a sugar that oxidizes quickly and therefore is a quick source of energy for working muscles while fructose oxidizes more slowly since it must be converted into glucose in the liver before it can be used by muscles.
