Refund policy


Oberson Sales, Returns, and Warranty Policies

1. Returns and Exchanges
  • Standard Timeline: Refunds are possible within 30 days of purchase or receipt.
  • Conditions: Merchandise must be new, clean, odorless, hair-free, with original tags attached.
  • Original Box: Original boxes (boots, bindings, etc.) must be intact. A $10 fee applies if the box is damaged. If the box is missing, the refund will be issued as a gift card.
  • Exchanges: Only available in-store (Laval or Brossard). No exchanges by mail.
  • Final Sale Items (No returns/exchanges):
    • Items at 50% off or more. (Tip: Use in-store pickup to try before you buy).
    • Underwear, shorts, bibs, helmets, and ski goggles with the security tag removed (hygiene reasons).
    • Gift cards.

2. Special Periods (Holidays and Black Friday)
  • Black Friday: No refunds will be processed from November 27th to December 1st, 2025.
  • Holiday Season:
    • Purchases made after November 15th, 2025: Return period extended until January 11th, 2026.
    • No exchanges or refunds between December 26th and December 28th, 2025.
  • Event Discounts: Black Friday and Boxing Day sale prices apply only on the announced dates. No adjustments can be made to prior or subsequent purchases.

3. Price Protection (15 Days)
If an item's price is reduced at Oberson within 15 days of your purchase:
  • The difference will be issued as a store credit or gift card (for the identical product: model, size, color, year).
  • In-Store: You must present the item in person (no adjustments by phone).
  • Online: Contact support@oberson.com.
  • Note: No price adjustments on layaways.

4. Return Shipping Fees
A return label is included in your package. Fees will be deducted from your refund:
  • $13: Standard rate (QC and ON).
  • $25: Oversized items (+100 cm) or remote areas (outside QC/ON).
  • Free: If you return the item to our store locations (Laval/Brossard) or use your own carrier account (proof of payment required).
  • Error/Defective Product: Return shipping costs are covered by Oberson after validation with customer support.

5. Warranties
  • Duration: One-year manufacturer's warranty (normal use).
  • Proof of Purchase: Mandatory for all claims.
  • Process: Processing times, repairs, or exchanges are at the manufacturer’s discretion.

6. Sales Tax and In-Store Pickup
  • Taxes are applied based on the shipping province.
  • In-Store Pickup: To benefit from Quebec sales tax rates (14.975%), your shipping address (step 3 of checkout) must be in Quebec. If you reside out of province (e.g., Ontario at 13%), you will be required to pay the tax difference in-store when picking up your order.
    • Tip: You can use the address of one of our store locations as your shipping address to avoid this recalculation.
