TITLE: Manager

STORE: Brossard

YEARS SKIING: 24

HOME HILL: Mont Habitant. Now skis Tremblant.

TYPE OF SKIER: Ex-racer turned freeskier.

GETTING THERE: Fly to Jackson, drive 15 minutes to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Teton Village.

TRAVEL TIP: Get stoked watching TGR’s Swift, Silent, Deep. Bring warm clothes. Temperatures can hit -30°. If you’re backcountry skiing, be properly equipped, well versed and be sure to bring a guide. Make no mistake. Jackson Hole does not suffer fools.

TOP NOTES: Think Wild, Wild West. Nearby Jackson is teeming with cowboys and cowgirls, many of whom are actually ski bumming for the winter. Great bars. Great steakhouses. And scary-great skiers. 80% of marked trails are rated expert. That’s not counting Jackson Hole’s legendary side- and backcountry.

MUST SKI: There are so many bowls, steeps, chutes, powder stashes, glades and hidden treasures, that you really want to befriend a friendly local who’ll serve as your lifeline and guide.

WHERE TO STAY: The Snake River Lodge at the base of Jackson Hole in Teton Village is a magnificent wood lodge with a spa, a swimming pool, fine dining and all the amenities, especially ski-in/ski-out.

BEST APRÈS-SKI: Locals party at the Mangy Moose. It’s on the mountain. The beer is cheap: $3.

BEST MEAL: Red meat. Saddle up to a beef or bison steak or burger at the Million Dollar Cowboy Steakhouse in Jackson.

BEST DRINK: Any beer from the Snake River Brewery, Wyoming’s oldest brewing company.

NOT TO BE MISSED: Anything from Teton Gravity Research.

BE SURE TO AVOID: Getting too cocky or scared and skiing over your head.

NEXT EXTREME ADVENTURE: Revelstoke, C.-B.
