1. Orage: Colorful and High-Performance Clothing
Orage, a Montreal company, was launched in 1989. Its founder, Évelyn Trempe wanted to create ski clothing for her friends and members of the Université du Québec à Montréal’s ski team.
Driven by passion, perseverance and the desire to innovate, the founder, along with her partners Éric d'Anjou et Jean-Pierre Fernandez, have brought Orage to where it is today: a Quebec company recognized by amateurs and professionals in the winter sports’ community.
This season, Orage’s collection is the favorite of many Oberson employees. The quality-price ratio and the colorful and original styles are sure to please everyone!
The favorites? The Cliff bib for women and Gibson for men combined with the Solar, an insulated layer. Let’s not forget the super comfortable base-layers and kids’ clothing!
2. Racoon: Skis Made in Quebec!
Would you be interested in skiing on local boards? We thought so! Racoon are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. This four member Quebec company, one of which is comedian Martin Matte, makes the purest alpines skis which are a testament to their true passion for the mountains.
Inspired by nature, Racoon uses maple wood which is 100% grown in Quebec and sustainably sourced. Also, in collaboration with Arbre Canada, Racoon gives back to nature by making sure that for each ski built a tree is planted. We love that concept!
Louis’, our Laval store assistant-manager, favorite? The Chinook 99 for backcountry adventures!
