History

Armada was founded in 2002 at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Truckee, California, by a group of pro skiers who wanted to shift the paradigm. As one of the first rider-owned and -operated brands, the company broke away from the race-driven tradition to focus on freestyle skiing. Embracing innovations such as twin-tip skis, it helped define modern skiing. The company has since branched out into a full lineup of skis—including piste, freeride, and touring skis—along with clothing and accessories, but its products are still shaped by input from dedicated, groundbreaking athletes.

A New Vision of the Mountain

With roots in California’s surf, skateboard, and snowboard scenes, Armada has a rebellious, playful vision of the mountain that’s all about new possibilities for improvisational fun. In line with its aspirational motto “What skiing will become,” the brand eschews tradition to make innovative gear and apparel with a bold, imaginative aesthetic.

This is Armada’s iconic freestyle line, built for park skiers and creative all-mountain riders. With twin-tip shapes and balanced flex, ARV skis are perfect for those who want to pull off tricks and slash all over the mountain.

ARW Series

The women’s counterpart to the ARV line is a series of freestyle-focused, stylish all-mountain skis with a responsive, lightweight feel. They’re aimed at riders who want park performance and all-mountain versatility.

Locator Series

Designed for backcountry skiers, the Locator skis are lightweight freeride touring skis. They’re perfect for human-powered, hard-charging adventures.

Declivity Series

Designed for aggressive all-mountain skiers, the Declivity line combines power, stability, and precision. With metal reinforcement and directional shapes, these skis dominate on groomers, steeps, and mixed conditions.

Reliance Series

Designed for skiers looking for a women’s frontside carving ski with a freeride spirit. Featuring directional shapes and metal banding, Reliance skis are stable, smooth, and responsive on hardpack and variable snow.

Signature Series

Designed for progressive freestyle skiing, this series draws heavily from athlete feedback. It features skis such as the Edollo, an all-mountain ski built to match the style and creativity of skiers like pro Henrik Harlaut. They feature twin tips, a balanced flex, and camber underfoot for riders who see the mountain as a canvas.

Zero Series

The Zero Series showcases experimental shapes, new materials, and creative design from the Innovation Lab. The skis are all born from the imaginations of boundary-pushing athletes and engineers.

Youth Series

Armada’s Youth Series brings the same attitude and performance to smaller skis, with models tailored for all-mountain, freeride, and freestyle. Built for confidence-inspiring fun, these skis are made for the next generation of creative riders.

Armada’s lightest wood core makes the uphills easier, yet it has the power and damping qualities needed to shred on the way down.

AR Freestyle Rocker

A rockered tip and tail give the ski float and agility in soft or variable snow, while camber underfoot makes for solid edge grip on hardpack.

EST Freeride Rocker

Rocker in the front with additional tip taper for float in powder combines with positive camber underfoot and flat tail for strong edge hold.
