Often the first victims of low temperatures, the hands and feet, hinder even the most fervent outdoor enthusiasts. But don't let that stop you! The industry offers a range of heating products that allow you to fully enjoy winter activities. Here's a look at these products that help fight the cold.

There are four categories of warming products on the market to keep warm; gloves and mittens, socks, jackets and insoles. Although they have different uses, they are all characterized by their versatility, their comfort and the warmth they provide in all situations. Heated products are perfect for skiing, hiking, snowshoeing or shoveling after a good snowfall.

Heated products models

Most models offer three levels of warmth to suit everyone's needs. It’s important to remember that everyone reacts differently to temperature, we are not all equal when it comes to cold and heat perception. Heating products provide comfort without excessive heat by wrapping a specific zone of the body in warmth. Let's face it, the expectations towards heating products must be realistic, they are not hot water bottles but products that propagate heat while chasing away moisture.

Equipped with rechargeable batteries, which are connected to a cable in a small pocket embedded in the garment, it is easy to change the degree of heat in the middle of an activity. The first position is still the best, reaching close to normal body temperature while repelling moisture offering pleasant comfort. For colder days and less intense activities, you can adjust the intensity of the battery to the second and third level to achieve a higher degree of warmth. At these settings, however, it is important to avoid the vicious circle of humidity and heat. When you are too hot, you sweat, which forms moisture and a wet garment loses much more heat than a dry one, you will feel cold despite the effectiveness of the products.

The battery life

It is good to know that the battery life varies between three and eight hours depending on the use and the outside temperature. When set to the first position, you can enjoy the heating product for several hours. However, the batteries set to position two and three discharge more quickly, just like on very cold days. It is therefore advisable to start using your heating equipment at the minimum temperature before moving up to a higher level, ensuring warmth and comfort throughout the activity.

The cost of heating products can make many people jump. But keep in mind that these products are versatile and made to last, so they are an investment. Freezing, whether it's on the slopes or on the snowy trails, is not pleasant. Investing in a heated product will allow you to seize every opportunity to go outside and play and live with the season.
