Ride’s Thrash Collection: For the Wild at Heart

With the WARPIG, SUPERPIG, MTNPIG, TWINPIG, and PSYCHOCANDY, Ride’s Thrash Collection taps into the unstoppable energy of feral pigs for riders with an intuitive vision of the mountain. These boards are made for those who spot features and lines where others see obstacles and limits. The collection lets you trust your wildest instincts—and just let it rip.

Ride’s Thrash family is designed for riders who push the limits all over the mountain. The compact, rugged boards carve, slash, slarve, float, drift, and jump wherever your heart desires. Each is calibrated for a different riding style, but they all share the same boisterous DNA.

Get Ready to Go Hog Wild

Pigs may not be what first comes to mind when thinking about snowboarding. But anyone who’s seen them in the wild immediately understands the Thrash collection’s porcine nomenclature. We’re not talking about the poor critters locked away in industrial farms. No, these scruffy beasts dominate their natural habitat. Wherever they’re at, they’re fast—blink-and-they’re-gone-in-a-blur-of-tusk-and-fur fast, flip-a-light-switch-and-get-into-bed-before-the-room-goes-dark fast (to borrow Satchel Paige’s quip), fast as if the laws of physics were mere suggestions. They tear through thick underbrush, eat everything, and leave their mark everywhere.

Like their feral namesakes, the compact, burly boards in Ride’s Thrash collection are up for anything and willing to stick their noses anywhere. They charge hard and have an omnivorous appetite for whatever the mountain serves up. Their shapes and profiles are a key part of this versatility: most of the lineup is volume-shifted, running short and wide for extra float when sniffing out pow stashes or rooting around in blown-out chop and for mind-bending agility when slashing through tight trees or chunky moguls. Even the longer MTNPIG has the same slashing approach. And carving? They just rip up fresh corduroy. Basically, if it’s rideable, these playful, powerful boards gobble it up.

Graphics as Raw as the Ride

The collection’s aesthetics channel the boards’ untamed energy in a grungy abstract expressionism: think the Millennium Falcon designed by Jean-Paul Riopelle. The graphics look battle-scarred yet rugged and ready to make the leap into hyperspace. These rigs seem built from rough blocks of charcoal with splotches of rust and smoke-stained white. Broad, scraped strokes overlap like welded plates or slabs of oxidized metal. The Thrash collection’s gritty signature just makes sense on such a wild ride.

Meet the Pigs

The lineup includes the MTNPIG, SUPERPIG, WARPIG, TWINPIG, and PSYCHOCANDY. All are versatile unisex slashers sporting a similar raw aesthetic, but each one is its own animal, made for specific riding styles and terrain preferences.

The SUPERPIG snowboard from Ride's Thrash collection

WARPIG

The first and most versatile board in Ride’s Thrash collection will shift how you see a day at the resort. Yes, it can carve, but you won’t just be tracing long arcs on groomers all day. This battle-hardened beast takes the fight to the entire mountain. Every contour in the terrain becomes a feature to slash, smear, tap, or bonk. And you can forget expressing your skepticism with that old expression “when pigs fly”: several Ride athletes have launched themselves to big air podiums on this rig.

Much of its ride-anywhere attitude comes from the volume-shifted shape, which lets you size down six to ten centimetres. This makes it impossibly quick edge-to-edge yet super stable. Plus, the directional zero camber profile—flat with a touch of nose rocker—stays surfy in soft snow but still pops like camber on hardpack. Light, damp, and happy to ride switch, this bellicose board is built for hard-driving, playful all-mountain riding.

SUPERPIG

The SUPERPIG is a souped-up WARPIG. It has the same shape but more carbon (with the carbon Slim Walls, Carbon ArrayTM 5, and carbon-infused base 5) and a bit of camber. This means that it absolutely shreds groomers. And it still goes everywhere and does everything, but it’s stiffer, snappier, and even faster edge to edge. It’s a high-end board for next-level speed and aggression.

TWINPIG

This board is a more park-focused, less pow-oriented variation of the WARPIG. This pig brings the party to the park! The twin shape lets you ride switch, but the TWINPIG is still a shorter, wider Thrash-style board because its asymmetrical sidecut lets it keep the characteristic side-to-side speed. A soft flex and a bit of camber and rise at both ends make spins, presses, butters, and jibs feel natural. Landings feel stable thanks to the extra width, and the forgiving flex lets you play around without getting punished for imperfect technique. In the park, you’ll be as happy as a pig in… fresh snow.

MTNPIG

It’s the latest addition to the litter, but not the runt: this rig isn’t meant to be sized down. It’s the go-to board for powder hounds (or should I say, powder hogs!) because its split tail keeps the nose up in soft snow and extra volume from the length gives it more float. The split-tail design also makes it feel shorter, far more maneuverable, and more like its porcine brethren than its length suggests. Each side flexes independently, kicking you out of the turn with a dynamic rebound. This board loves good snow, big lines, and steeps.

PSYCHOCANDY

The PSYCHOCANDY is the Thrash family’s sweetest member. It’s for snowboarders who embrace the same all-mountain, go-everywhere mindset as those who ride the WARPIG but are looking for a smoother ride. You can still treat the whole mountain like one big skate park and quickly pivot thanks to the flat zero camber profile and volume-shifted shape, but a softer tail makes for more fluid turns. This rig tones down the aggression and amps up the euphoric flow. With such intuitive handling, you’ll feel an almost psychic connection to your board—you think it, the PSYCHOCANDY does it.

A PIG for Every Rider
The Thrash collection brings together boards with their own distinct personalities, all driven by the same raw, instinctive energy. Whether you’re surfing pow, bombing down the fall line, or turning every undulation into a feature, there’s a PIG for you. Each one invites you to ride with more intuition and brashness—and to let your wild side take over.

FAQ — Ride’s Thrash Collection

What makes Ride’s PIG snowboards different from traditional boards?

Ride’s Thrash boards feature a volume-shifted design that’s shorter and wider than traditional boards (except for the MTNPIG). This allows riders to size down for more float in powder, quicker edge-to-edge response, and extra landing stability. They all feel surfy, slashy, and playful while still delivering powerful all-mountain performance.

Which snowboards in Ride’s Thrash collection are best for beginners?

The best snowboards for beginners in the Thrash collection are the WARPIG and TWINPIG. Both have relatively soft flexes and so are more forgiving. The WARPIG, the most versatile in the lineup, allows beginners to try every style of riding. The TWINPIG is best for new riders who want to try riding switch and to focus on the snow park.

Which Thrash Collection snowboard should I choose?

Choose the WARPIG for the most versatile all-mountain ride, the TWINPIG for park and freestyle, the SUPERPIG for high-speed carving and aggressive riding, the MTNPIG for big lines and powder, and the PSYCHOCANDY for a flowy, more surf-inspired feel.

Can I use a Ride Thrash Collection board as my only snowboard?

Yes, all the snowboards in the Thrash collection are all-mountain boards. That said, the WARPIG and SUPERPIG are the most versatile. They’re true quiver-of-one boards that excel on groomers, in the snow park, and in powder.
